Aroma: Sweet toffee, pine forest, and rich plum pudding with custard. The obvious richness of this whisky opens into a surprisingly complex nose with more delicate florals, orange peel, brown sugar and biscuit.

Palate: A big bold whisky with bread and butter pudding with plenty of raisins and spices.

Finish: A delicious long finish. Marmalade on toast and black coffee.

We are delighted to announce that our February Old Kempton Whisky Club release is the wonderful, sweet, dark and flavour filled PX cask.

Pedro Ximenez, is a well known white Spanish wine grape variety - the grapes are used to produce a varietal wine, as intensely sweet, dark and delicious dessert sherry. Made by drying the grapes in the hot sun, concentrating the sweetness, which are then used to create a thick, black liquid with a strong taste of raisins and molasses. PX casks are well know to create sweet, dark and succulent whiskies.
