About Whisky Club #21
Our upcoming Whisky Club release is from a collection of 20L Muscat casks that came together to form a beautiful rich whisky perfect for the cooler months.
These Muscat casks are from a legend in the Australian fortified wine category, Yalumba in the Barossa Valley. We were able fill a selection of casks from Yalumba and these are the first to hit maturity from what we consider some of the best Muscat casks to have come through our distillery. Showcasing a delicious nose of of sticky date pudding with toffee sauce and candied orange peel.
There are only 100 bottles of this unique whisky available exclusively for our Whisky Club members.
About Muscat Cask
Aroma: A rich dessert style aroma of sticky date pudding with toffee sauce, brown sugar, and florentine biscuits. Develops with toasted cinnamon, oak, and candied orange peel.
Palate: Silky and well balanced across the palate with dates, orange peel, and spice.
Finish: A lingering finish with caramelised brown sugar, mixed spices and toasted oak.
We were lucky enough to get these casks from Yalumba in the Barossa Valley. Yalumba has a storied history and are renowned for producing some of Australia’s finest fortified wines. Part of their success comes from the care they take in the selection and treatment of casks. As they note “The right oak results in an abundance of flavour, ensuring that every last drop has the potential to become something great.”
